Drinking in the parking lot at all ballparks
Reminder: It is Illegal by law and against the rules of the league to
consume alcohol in a public park. The parking lot is no exception to that
law/rule. A teams failure to comply with that law/rule risks having their
team ejected from the league.

No Rescheduling of games
If a team cannot make their scheduled game that team will forfeit that game. There will be no rescheduling of any games unless due to rainouts.
There will be no scheduled games for the week of June 29 to July 03. However, if needed the league may use that week to make up rained out games.

Al Sorenson Memorial Scholarship (2009 Application)
Every year a group of volunteers host the Al Sorenson Memorial Tournament in Bradner. To keep Al's memory alive they have decided to use the proceeds from this tournament for scholarships for those in need. 2009 Forums OPEN

IMPORTANT - SPN Team Rosters
Your team SPN league roster form should be in ASAP. You are not insured until this form has been filled out completely.
Make sure you are covered, it may be funny to sign a fake name or information but if you get hurt you will not be laughing so hard.

NEW RAINOUT LINE
We have changed the rainout number to handle higher demands on questionable nights. The rainout line will be updated at 5:00pm on days with questionable weather.

Abbotsford Slo-Pitch League Bat Certification Program
The official bat in League Play must meet all of the requirements of Rule 2, Section 1 of the SPN 2003 Official rule Book and:
1. Must bear either the ASA (American Softball Association) approved 2000 certification mark or the ASA 2004 certification mark as shown below, and must not be listed on an ASA non approved list, or
2. Must be included on a list of approved bat models published by the ASA National Office; or
3. Must, in the sole opinion and discretion of the umpire, have been manufactured prior to 2000 and if tested, would comply with the ASA bat performance standards then in effect.
Beginning January 1, 2004, all bats in League Play must pass the ASA 2004 bat standard. All bats having the 2004 certification mark will be allowed in League Play. Bats that have the 2000 certification mark will not be allowed in League Play unless they are listed on an approved bat list on the ASA website. For convenience, the ASA website has a listing of bats that do not pass the ASA 2004 bat standard.
